ABOUT
Mountain Thief is the musical moniker of Nashville-based indie folk artist Andrew Reed. Born from generations of roots in the South, Reed’s songwriting pulls words and melodies from his attempt to make sense of the world around him, often evoking a feeling of being on the outside looking in.
Formed in 2020, Mountain Thief’s sound is centered around Reed’s emotive vocals and acoustic guitar, drawing influences from artists like Sun Kil Moon and Iron & Wine. In 2022, Mountain Thief released two singles, “Long Lost” and “Just My Imagination,” offering a glimpse into Reed’s exploration of time and meaning through his music.
Mountain Thief is poised to release his debut album, representing a milestone for Reed, showcasing his growth as a songwriter. In the lead-up to the album’s release, Mountain Thief is excited to share a music video for “Long Lost,” adding a visual dimension to the song.
