DIY Producer’s Latest Track Showcases Evolution Toward More Intense, Raw Expression

CHICAGO, IL – February 28, 2025

Clearhead, the musical project of ambient DIY producer Max Gensler, today announced the release of a new single that marks the next step in the artist’s sound, featuring guest vocals from Jinno of the band Lettering.

The new track showcases a deliberate shift toward heavier content and more intense musical elements, while maintaining the introspective core that has defined Clearhead’s previous releases. The collaboration with Jinno adds a powerful vocal dynamic, particularly in the song’s climactic ending section.

“This particular song has heavy lyrics and it needed that extra push from his vocals,” explains Gensler. “He took the lyrics and ideas that I had for his part, elevated and made them to fit his voice and style.”

The single arrives after a year of consistent releases from Clearhead, with Gensler noting that his approach to recording has become increasingly experimental. “The sounds we were able to create and capture in the studio were all very natural and in the moment,” says Gensler. “On paper that’s really scary when you’re recording, when it’s not planned, but doing something random and hearing it evolve made the songs so much better.”

The release is accompanied by a music video that Gensler describes as “an elevated lyric video with elements and metaphors that connect to the lyrics,” demonstrating the artist’s attention to visual aesthetics as an extension of his musical expression.
