Third Track Off Upcoming EP Shows Off Poignant Songwriting

NASHVILLE, TN – March 8, 2024 – Carolina Drama has released their melancholy new single “Warm Regards,” the title track off the Nashville-based duo’s forthcoming EP. Inspired by the oddly formal tone of breakup letters from distant eras, “Warm Regards” puts the band’s gritty and graceful writing on full display.

“I was watching a period movie where someone broke up via typewritten letter, using this cold sign-off ‘Warm Regards’—it just felt so strange to end something intimate that way,” says vocalist/guitarist Austin Fredrich. “It got me thinking about how relationships end and the language we use around it.”

Haunting slide guitar by Harrison Johnson accompanies Fredrich’s raspy vocals on the track, while multi-instrumentalist Sam Allen provides everything from harmonica to keys and percussion. Though thematically somber, the song’s lush production and swelling melodies shine cathartic.

The “Warm Regards” single releases across all major streaming platforms March 8th alongside an evocative music video. Fans can expect more genre-bending indie rock when the full “Warm Regards” EP drops in 2024 via Carbonated Records.
