Clearhead Shares Vulnerable New Dreamo Single “Short-Form Memories”

Cathartic Track and Companion Video Navigates Mental Health Struggles

CHICAGO, IL – January 29, 2024

Emerging DIY producer Clearhead, aka Max Gensler, has announced the February 2nd release of new single “Short-Form Memories” along with an accompanying music video. The dreamo track offers a poignant window into the anxiety and memories missed due to mental health struggles.

As Gensler explains, “‘Short-Form Memories’ comes from the loneliness in the realization that my anxiety has stripped away experiences over the years.” True to Clearhead’s cathartic, introspective ethos, the single explores self-doubt and fear of missing out through vulnerable lyrics and swirling shoegaze textures.

Fans can expect the full video on Friday, edited by Gensler using day in the life footage of him in Chicago to match the nostalgic atmosphere of “Short-Form Memories.” The post hardcore production allows Gensler’s textured vocals and candid words to shine through.

Clearhead, aka Max Gensler, began the project at the start of the pandemic as an outlet for processing isolation through creativity reminiscent of influences like Circa Survive and Balance and Composure. Fans can expect more new music later this year as Gensler completes work on Clearhead’s debut EP featuring a number of special guest collaborations. Until then, the latest single provides another glimpse into the forthcoming EP.
