REDMESA EXPLORES EVOLVING FRIENDSHIPS ON NEW EP “FURTHER EAST”

Brooklyn Indie Act’s Debut Release Out December 1

BROOKLYN, NY – November 15, 2021

Brooklyn-based indie rocker redmesa will release his debut EP “Further East” on December 1, 2021. Written and produced entirely in his home studio throughout 2020, the 5-track collection exemplifies songwriter Austin Fredrich’s signature melodic guitar rock and explores the theme of friendships changing as people grow apart.

The lead single “DMs” dropped August 23, offering fans a preview of the mellow melodies, driving rhythms and introspective lyricism that define the redmesa sound. An official music video for the track, produced by Sam Allen and Max Gensler, will coincide with the EP’s release.

“Further East” also features collaboration with fellow indie artists jbsynk and Clearhead. On producing the record, Fredrich said: “I’m really ecstatic to be releasing music again. It’s been wonderful to bring new songs to light alongside the support of my friends.”

Look for redmesa to build on the EP with more releases and live shows in 2022. “Further East” will be available on all major streaming platforms December 1.

Brooklyn-based redmesa, the solo project of Austin Fredrich, combines technical guitar music with indie and pop melodies. With little fanfare but plenty of experience, including past festival shows with Switchfoot and in the vicinity of J. Cole, redmesa pushes forward with more music and visuals. Following his 2021 EP, 2022 brings new songs, collaborations, and hopefully shows without a pandemic. redmesa aims to meld musical worlds and turn up ears in the process.

redmesa is represented by Carbonated Records, who champion unsigned talent and empower artists to realize their creative vision. With a collaborative network of industry veterans, the label provides hands-on development focused on building sustainable careers for authentic musicians.
